What Is ALC-OPT-MIB?
ALC-OPT-MIB is a private MIB (referencing the "cdx6500" platform in its object names, consistent with the Cascade Communications/Ascom Timeplex CBX 500 multiservice ATM switch) exposing per-port ALC (line interface) configuration parameters. It covers port type/subtype, port control state, clock source and speed, plus polling-delay and host-timeout parameters governing the interface's management communication. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a port's clocking and control settings are correct when diagnosing a framing or synchronization problem on the interface. It is deployed on CBX 500-family multiservice ATM switches. Engineers can download the ALC-OPT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
