All MIBs › ACC-UDPHELPER
Category: Vendor: ACC/Ericsson
Description: Configures UDP broadcast forwarding (helper addresses) on ACC/Ericsson routers to relay broadcast packets across subnets.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ACC-UDPHELPER?
ACC-UDPHELPER is a proprietary MIB from ACC (Advanced Computer Communications) managing UDP Helper, a feature that forwards broadcast UDP traffic (such as DHCP or NetBIOS requests) across router interfaces that would otherwise block broadcasts. It exposes a global enable/disable status, a per-port table of forwarding destination IP addresses and TTL overrides, and per-port statistics counting received and forwarded packets. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm UDP Helper is active on the intended ports and verify forwarded-packet counts to catch a broadcast-relay failure. It is deployed on ACC routers relaying broadcast-dependent services like DHCP across routed interfaces. Engineers can download the ACC-UDPHELPER file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-UDPHELPER. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ACC (Advanced Computer Communications) WAN access routers
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks accUdpHelperStatsTable for a rising received-but-not-forwarded discrepancy on a port, which would indicate the configured helper address in accUDPHelperIpAddr is no longer reachable.
What Can Be Monitored
- UDP Helper enable state
- per-port forwarding destination and packet counts
