All MIBs › ACC-NOTIFICATION-MIB
Organization: Andover Controls Corporation
Last Updated: 2002-10-30
Category: Alarm and Event Management, Device Management, Vendor: ACC/Ericsson
Description: Defines notification (trap) objects for ACC/Ericsson router events, providing a centralized registry of SNMP trap types generated by the ACC product line.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ACC-NOTIFICATION-MIB?
ACC-NOTIFICATION-MIB is a vendor-specific module for ACC/Ericsson routers that defines and configures the SNMP trap/notification mechanism used by the ACC NetController software, acting as a centralized registry of event types the device can report. Rather than exposing operational counters directly, it exposes configuration objects controlling how and when notifications are generated. Its core monitoring value is fault detection: it lets an operator control which hardware or software events (from other ACC MIBs) get escalated as SNMP traps, so it indirectly supports monitoring of device faults and status changes across the whole ACC product line. It depends on and coordinates with the other ACC-specific MIBs (such as ACC-PSTN, ACC-IP, etc.) whose events it reports. It is used in ACC/Ericsson router deployments where centralized event/alarm management is required, making ACC-NOTIFICATION-MIB SNMP monitoring a key part of fault-management strategy across the ACC product line.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-NOTIFICATION-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Andover Controls Continuum NetController building-automation controllers
Monitoring Examples
The module description confirms this MIB provides mechanisms to remotely configure parameters used by the ACC NetController software for generating notifications, but no sample runtime data objects were extracted. An administrator would use it to configure which trap types are enabled or suppressed, which shapes what fault conditions get reported to a network management station. Because no sample_objects were given, specific object names cannot be confirmed.
What Can Be Monitored
- notification/trap configuration
- enabled event types
- NetController event generation settings
