All MIBs › ACC-PROFILE
Category: Device Management, Vendor: ACC/Ericsson
Description: Manages configuration profiles on ACC/Ericsson routers, providing named templates for dial-up users, interface parameters, and service definitions.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ACC-PROFILE?
ACC-PROFILE is a vendor-specific MIB for managing named configuration profiles on ACC/Ericsson access routers, providing reusable templates for dial-up user settings, interface parameters, and service definitions, rooted under the accProfile object subtree. It is primarily a configuration-management MIB, letting an administrator see which named profiles exist and which parameters each profile applies to dial-in sessions or interfaces. Its monitoring value is in confirming the software configuration state applied to a session or interface, since verifying the correct profile is bound to a given dial-up user or interface helps diagnose why a session is receiving unexpected parameters such as wrong bandwidth or authentication settings. There is no strong external MIB dependency; it is a self-contained proprietary configuration-template mechanism. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson dial-up access routers/servers used by service providers to standardize configuration across many dial-in ports. Engineers can download the ACC-PROFILE file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-PROFILE. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ACC/Ericsson dial-up access router/server
Monitoring Examples
An admin walks the accProfile subtree to list all configured profiles and confirm which named template is bound to a problematic dial-in port. If a user is receiving unexpected connection parameters, comparing the profile assigned to their port against the expected profile definition quickly reveals a misassignment.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured profile templates
- profile-to-port/user binding
- dial-up/interface parameter definitions within profiles
