What Is A3COM-MIP-R1-MIB?

A3COM-MIP-R1-MIB is a 3Com proprietary MIB controlling Multicast IP routing (MIP) on 3Com routers, an early IGMP-based multicast forwarding feature. It exposes a global enable/disable control for multicast IP routing and a per-port table of IGMP query interval, membership threshold, querier election state, and pacing mode. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm multicast routing is enabled where expected and inspect each port's IGMP querier role. It is deployed on legacy 3Com routers providing multicast forwarding on IP networks. Engineers can download the A3COM-MIP-R1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
