Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll the ATM VPI/VCI configuration table to confirm each provisioned circuit's virtual path/channel identifiers and traffic parameters match the service order for that subscriber or uplink. A VPI/VCI mismatch between the access switch and the upstream DSLAM or ATM switch would prevent the circuit from passing traffic even though the physical port is up. Monitoring the configured traffic parameters also helps confirm bandwidth allocations remain consistent after a configuration change.
