Read-write data-recognition mode for new sessions on this port: interactive(1, recognizes local controls), binary(2, PASSALL, only session protocol), binaryWithFlow(3, PASTHRU, only XON/XOFF), or transparent(4, recognizes nothing), matching PORT DEFAULT SESSION MODE. Use binary or transparent modes for raw data links (like file transfers) where local control-character interpretation would corrupt the data stream.
