Module: XYPLEX-CHARACTER1-MIB

OID (symbolic): XYPLEX-CHARACTER1-MIB::basicPortConnectResume

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.13.1.17.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Control for behavior of a connection attempt to a destination where the port already has a connection. 'disabled' causes a new connection. 'enabled' causes the existing connection to become the active connection. Corresponds directly to PORT CONNECTRESUME and the presence of the label 'Connectresume' following the label 'Enabled Characteristics:' in the PORT CHARACTERISTICS display.

What is basicPortConnectResume?

Read-write toggle (disabled=1 forms a new connection, enabled=2 resumes the existing one) for what happens when a user tries to connect again to a destination the port is already connected to, matching PORT CONNECTRESUME. Enable this to avoid piling up duplicate sessions to the same destination from repeated connect attempts.
