What Is XF-RADIOLINK-PTP-RADIO-MIB?

XF-RADIOLINK-PTP-RADIO-MIB is an Ericsson MIB for the XF family of point-to-point microwave radio link units (RAUs) used in mobile backhaul networks, defining objects for configuring and monitoring the radio-layer parameters of the link. It exposes RF-level data such as transmit power and receive signal level for the point-to-point radio path. Its central purpose is hardware status monitoring of the radio unit - tracking transmit power output and received signal strength lets operators detect fading, antenna misalignment, or hardware degradation on a microwave backhaul link before it causes a service outage. As a radio-specific MIB it likely complements Ericsson's broader XF/MINI-LINK equipment MIBs that cover chassis/unit inventory and alarms. It is deployed in mobile backhaul networks using Ericsson XF/MINI-LINK point-to-point microwave radio equipment. Engineers can download the XF-RADIOLINK-PTP-RADIO-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in XF-RADIOLINK-PTP-RADIO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • transmit power level
  • receive signal level (RSL)

Supported Devices

  • Ericsson XF/MINI-LINK point-to-point microwave radio

Monitoring Examples

No sample objects were provided for this module, so specific object identifiers cannot be cited here. Based on the module description, the realistic monitoring use is polling RF transmit power and receive signal level (RSL) per radio link to detect a degrading microwave path - for example a steadily falling RSL reading would warn of antenna misalignment or worsening weather-related fade well before the link drops - but no concrete table/object names can be honestly confirmed from the data given.

RFC description

Manages point-to-point radio link Remote Access Units (RAUs) for Ericsson transmission and transport networks, including RF power and modulation settings.

Start monitoring Ericsson XF/MINI-LINK point-to-point microwave radio unit (TX-power/RX-signal-level status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
