Category: Power and Environmental Monitoring

Description: Monitors WebGraph thermometer sensor current temperature readings and configurable high and low alarm thresholds.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is WebGraph-Thermometer-US-MIB?

This is a proprietary MIB for a WebGraph-branded networked thermometer sensor appliance, apparently an OEM/rebranded unit given its "Webio" internal object prefix, used to track ambient temperature at a monitored location such as a server room or equipment cabinet. It exposes hardware sensor data through a per-sensor table of current temperature values along with a binary threshold-alarm indicator, plus session-control objects (password, configuration mode) for securing device configuration changes. Being a pure environmental sensor MIB, its core function is hardware status monitoring, reporting current temperature and flagging when a configurable high/low alarm threshold has been crossed, essential for detecting cooling failures or environmental excursions that could damage nearby IT equipment. It is a small self-contained proprietary schema with no apparent dependency on other MIBs. It is deployed on standalone WebGraph/Webio networked temperature-probe appliances placed in data closets, cabinets, or rooms requiring environmental monitoring. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the WebGraph-Thermometer-US-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WebGraph-Thermometer-US-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • WebGraph/Webio networked thermometer sensor appliance

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll wtWebioAn1GraphSensorTable (via wtWebioAn1GraphSensorEntry/wtWebioAn1GraphSensorNo) to identify each configured sensor, then read the current reading from wtWebioAn1GraphTempValueTable's wtWebioAn1GraphTempValue. If wtWebioAn1GraphBinaryTempValueTable's wtWebioAn1GraphBinaryTempValue shows the alarm bit set, that indicates the sensor has crossed its configured high or low temperature threshold, prompting investigation of a possible air-conditioning failure in the monitored space.

What Can Be Monitored

  • current temperature reading per sensor
  • high/low temperature alarm threshold status
  • sensor index/count
  • device session/config-mode status
