Category: Power and Environmental Monitoring

Description: Monitors WebGraph 8-channel thermometer sensor readings and alarm thresholds for environmental temperature tracking.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is WebGraph-8xThermometer-US-MIB?

WebGraph-8xThermometer-US-MIB is a vendor MIB for WebGraph/Web-IO 8-channel networked thermometer sensor modules, small SNMP-managed environmental monitoring appliances rather than a general-purpose network device. It exposes environmental sensor data, specifically temperature readings from up to eight independent sensor channels, along with binary (threshold-triggered) temperature status and packet/counter-style representations of those readings. Its monitoring role is entirely environmental hardware status: it is used to watch ambient or equipment temperature at multiple points (e.g. a server room, rack, or cabinet) and to detect over-temperature or under-temperature alarm conditions via the binary threshold values. It is a standalone vendor MIB with no significant dependency on other standard MIBs, functioning as a purpose-built sensor-polling interface. It is typically deployed in data centers, network closets, or equipment cabinets where multiple temperature points need centralized SNMP-based environmental monitoring alongside other infrastructure devices. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the WebGraph-8xThermometer-US-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WebGraph-8xThermometer-US-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • WebGraph/Web-IO 8-channel thermometer sensor module
  • environmental monitoring appliance

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll the wtWebioAn8GraphSensorTable to enumerate the eight configured sensor channels (indexed via wtWebioAn8GraphSensorNo), then read wtWebioAn8GraphTempValueTable/wtWebioAn8GraphTempValue for each channel's current temperature and wtWebioAn8GraphBinaryTempValueTable/wtWebioAn8GraphBinaryTempValue for its threshold-alarm state; a binary value flipping to the alarm condition on one channel would reveal that a specific rack or cabinet location has exceeded its safe temperature range. The wtWebioAn8GraphTempValuePktTable/Entry structures suggest the device also exposes readings in a packetized/bulk format for efficient polling of all channels at once.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-channel temperature reading
  • sensor channel number/identity
  • binary over/under-temperature alarm state
  • bulk/packetized temperature values across channels
