Description: Defines Ciena World Wide Packets product OID registration and enterprise MIB structural hierarchy.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is WWP-PRODUCTS-MIB?
WWP-PRODUCTS-MIB is a World Wide Packets, Inc (Ciena, Inc) proprietary MIB defining the object identifiers assigned to WWP (World Wide Packets) products and platforms — the OID values returned in sysObjectID that identify exactly which WWP/Ciena carrier Ethernet platform an SNMP agent is running on. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural registration MIB it exists so an NMS can map a device's sysObjectID to a specific WWP/Ciena product model. It underlies World Wide Packets (Ciena) carrier Ethernet platforms. Engineers can download the WWP-PRODUCTS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WWP-PRODUCTS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- World Wide Packets (Ciena) carrier Ethernet platforms
Monitoring Examples
An NMS looks up a device's sysObjectID against WWP-PRODUCTS-MIB's registered OIDs to automatically identify the exact World Wide Packets (Ciena) platform model.
