Description: Manages system clock sources, synchronization, and timing parameters on Unisphere ERX routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-System-Clock-MIB?

Unisphere-Data-System-Clock-MIB is a Unisphere Networks (later Juniper Networks E-series/ERX) proprietary MIB providing system clock and NTP (RFC 1305) client/server configuration for the Unisphere Routing Switch product family. Its objects cover date/time and timezone/DST settings (absolute or recurring start/stop rules) plus NTP client status — sync state, offset/frequency error, root delay/dispersion, stratum number, and last-update time/server. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator audit and monitor system clock and NTP (RFC 1305) client/server configuration on a Unisphere/Juniper E-series routing switch. It is deployed on Unisphere Networks (Juniper E-series/ERX) routing switches. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-System-Clock-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-System-Clock-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Unisphere Networks (Juniper E-series/ERX) routing switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator reviews this MIB's objects to confirm system clock and NTP (RFC 1305) client/server configuration is configured and operating as expected on a Unisphere/Juniper E-series routing switch.
