Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-ISIS-MIB?
Unisphere-Data-ISIS-MIB is a Unisphere Networks (later Juniper Networks E-series/ERX) proprietary MIB managing IS-IS (Intermediate System to Intermediate System, ISO 10589, extended for IP by RFC 1195) routing on Unisphere routing switch products. Its system table, keyed by instance, records protocol version/type, system ID, max path splits, max/min L1/L2 LSP generation intervals, originated L1/L2 LSP buffer size, max area addresses, poll ES-hello rate, wait time, operational state, L1 state, corrupted-LSP count, LSP database overload count, and various protocol-error counters (dropped management addresses, sequence-number exhaustion attempts/skips, own-LSP purges, system-ID/area-address-length mismatches). As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm IS-IS timer settings and watch protocol-error counters for instability. It is deployed on Unisphere Networks (Juniper E-series/ERX) routing switches running IS-IS. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-ISIS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-ISIS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Unisphere Networks (Juniper E-series/ERX) routing switches (IS-IS)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks usdIsisSysLSPL1DbaseOloads and usdIsisSysCorrLSPs to diagnose IS-IS database instability on a Unisphere/ERX routing switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- IS-IS timer configuration and protocol-error counters

RFC description
Unisphere IS-IS routing protocol MIB for managing intermediate system to intermediate system routing and topology.
Start monitoring Unisphere Networks (Juniper E-series/ERX) routing switches, IS-IS (timer config/protocol-error counter status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
