Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance
Description: Defines Juniper/Unisphere ERX PPPoE MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statements.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-PPPoE-CONF?
Unisphere-Data-PPPoE-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module for the Unisphere Data Routing Switch (ERX) family, declaring which objects and groups of the PPPoE MIB are implemented by the agent's PPPoE component, used for broadband subscriber sessions established over PPP-over-Ethernet. As a conformance module it exposes no runtime data itself; it only documents feature-level support for PPPoE session configuration and status reporting. It therefore plays no direct role in reporting live subscriber session counts or hardware status, existing solely to declare which PPPoE MIB variables are supported for polling. It is inherently dependent on the underlying PPPoE MIB (a Unisphere-specific or IETF-aligned PPPoE session MIB) that it provides capability statements for. It is consulted by NMS/MIB-compiler tooling integrating Unisphere ERX BRAS routers to confirm which PPPoE monitoring features are safely usable, making the Unisphere-Data-PPPoE-CONF reference the authoritative source for that conformance check.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-PPPoE-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Unisphere/Juniper ERX broadband routers (BRAS) with PPPoE
Monitoring Examples
This module contains no runtime data objects -- its sample_objects list is empty because AGENT-CAPABILITIES modules only declare supported object groups and variations, not live subscriber session counters. A management system would consult this conformance module before attempting to poll active PPPoE session counts or status on a Unisphere ERX router, rather than an administrator polling it directly.
