Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Defines Unisphere ERX entity MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statement specifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-Entity-CONF?

This is a Juniper/Unisphere (ERX routing switch family) AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module that declares which object groups and compliance statements the SNMP agent supports for physical and logical entity management, rather than defining runtime data objects itself. It exists purely to describe agent conformance to the associated Entity MIB(s), listing supported groups and compliance levels for physical/logical component management. As a conformance module it has no monitorable runtime objects of its own, so it does not directly expose hardware/software status data such as uptime, temperature, or CPU load — that data lives in the corresponding Entity MIB it describes conformance for. It is explicitly dependent on the Unisphere/ERX Entity MIB(s) whose object groups and compliance statements it references. It is typically used internally by NMS/EMS tooling, consulted as a Unisphere-Data-Entity-CONF reference, to validate which entity-management capabilities a given Unisphere ERX device's agent implementation supports, rather than being polled directly by operators.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-Entity-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Unisphere/Juniper ERX Routing Switch family

Monitoring Examples

This module is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance definition with no runtime data objects of its own, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; it only enumerates which groups and compliance statements of the associated Entity MIB the agent implements.
