Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance
Description: Defines Unisphere ERX DHCP MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statement specifications.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-DHCP-CONF?
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module for the DHCP relay/server SNMP subsystem on Unisphere Networks (later Juniper) ERX Edge Router Switch devices. Rather than defining monitorable data objects, it declares which OBJECT-GROUPs and NOTIFICATION-GROUPs from the companion Unisphere DHCP MIB the ERX agent actually implements, and how it complies with that base MIB. It has no operational instrumentation of its own, so it plays no direct role in reporting hardware or software health such as uptime, temperature, or CPU load. It is explicitly dependent on the sibling Unisphere DHCP MIB whose object and notification definitions it references and constrains. Such conformance modules are consulted by NMS vendors and MIB compilers to validate agent support before deploying monitoring templates, rather than being polled at runtime. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the Unisphere-Data-DHCP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-DHCP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Juniper/Unisphere ERX Edge Router
- ERX Routing Switch family
Monitoring Examples
As an AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance module, Unisphere-Data-DHCP-CONF defines no runtime data objects of its own; it only enumerates which groups of the DHCP MIB are supported. A management application would consult this module during MIB compilation or capability negotiation to confirm the ERX agent supports the DHCP relay/server groups, not to retrieve live values. There is no realistic SNMP GET/walk monitoring scenario for this module itself.
