What Is TRANGO-APEX-TRAP-MIB?

TRANGO-APEX-TRAP-MIB is a vendor MIB from Trango Systems defining SNMP trap notifications for its Apex wireless backhaul radios, complementing the RF configuration data in TRANGO-APEX-RF-MIB. Monitoring Examples

An NMS would be configured to receive trangotrap notifications including trapthreshold crossings and traplock changes to detect when an Apex radio link drops RF lock, and trapber/trapfer/trapmse traps to catch rising bit-error-rate, frame-error-rate, or MSE degradation before a link fails outright. A traplock trap combined with a system reboot notification would explain a sudden link outage on a backhaul path. This is a notification-definition module, so these are event-based alerts rather than continuously polled counters.
