slcLoginExponentialBackOff
Module: TIMETRA-SYSTEM-MIB
OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SYSTEM-MIB::slcLoginExponentialBackOff
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.1.8.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: The value of slcLoginExponentialBackOff specifies if exponential-backoff of the login prompt is enabled. Exponential-backoff is used to deter dictionary attacks. A value of 'true' specifies that exponential-backoff is enabled, while a value of 'false' indicates that exponential-backoff is disabled.
What is slcLoginExponentialBackOff?
When true, the login prompt delay increases exponentially after repeated failed attempts, a defense against automated dictionary/brute-force login attacks.
