When the value of vRtrIsisLoopfreeAlternate is set to 'true' IP fast re-route capability for ISIS is enabled and when vRtrIsisLoopfreeAlternate is set to 'false' IP fast re-route capability for ISIS is disabled.
What is vRtrIsisLoopfreeAlternate?
Enables or disables IP fast-reroute (Loop-Free Alternate) for this IS-IS instance; when enabled, IS-IS precomputes backup next-hops so traffic can fail over to an alternate path within milliseconds of a link/node failure, before SPF fully reconverges.
