tmnxIPsecTransformEncrAlgorithm

Module: TIMETRA-IPSEC-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-IPSEC-MIB::tmnxIPsecTransformEncrAlgorithm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.48.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TmnxEncrAlgorithm

Access: read-create

Description: The value of tmnxIPsecTransformEncrAlgorithm specifies the Encryption algorithm to be used for the IPsec session. Encryption only applies to ESP(Encapsulating Security Payload) configurations. If encryption is 'null', then ESP will not be used.

What is tmnxIPsecTransformEncrAlgorithm?

Selects the encryption algorithm (null, des, des3, aes128, aes192, or aes256) this transform entry applies to ESP-protected traffic; 'null' means ESP encryption is effectively off. The default is aes128, and an operator would raise it to aes256 for tunnels carrying especially sensitive traffic at the cost of extra CPU load on the IPsec-capable MDA.
