What Is TELTONIKA-RUTX-MIB?
TELTONIKA-RUTX-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB for Teltonika's RUTX series of industrial/M2M cellular routers, covering device identification and advanced router features like dual-SIM cellular failover. It exposes hardware inventory data (serial number, product code, batch number, hardware revision) alongside firmware version and a modem table describing installed cellular modems. Its monitoring value spans both hardware and software status: administrators can confirm the running firmware version (fwVersion), verify hardware identity/revision for asset tracking, and inspect per-modem details (via modemTable/modemEntry) including GPS and mobile connectivity state, which is critical for routers deployed in remote or mobile industrial sites. It is a self-contained Teltonika enterprise MIB but is commonly used alongside standard IF-MIB and mobile-specific objects for full connectivity visibility. It is deployed in industrial IoT, fleet, and remote-site networking scenarios where RUTX routers provide primary or backup cellular WAN connectivity. Engineers can download the TELTONIKA-RUTX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELTONIKA-RUTX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teltonika RUTX series industrial/cellular router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator reads fwVersion and hardwareRevision to confirm a fleet of RUTX routers is running the expected firmware before pushing a configuration update, and checks serial and productCode to reconcile device inventory. Polling modemTable (modemEntry, keyed by mIndex, with mDescr) across dual-SIM units reveals which modem is currently active and its description, helping diagnose a stalled SIM failover. The mobile and gps object groups would additionally be checked to confirm cellular signal and location reporting are functioning for a remote-deployed router.
What Can Be Monitored
