Description: Manages Teleste Luminato cable TV optical node configuration, RF levels, and downstream performance parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELESTE-LUMINATO-MIB?

This MIB module manages Teleste's Luminato line of cable-TV optical nodes, part of the vendor's HFC (hybrid fiber-coax) access network product family. It exposes configuration and status data for the optical node, including RF output levels and downstream signal performance parameters that describe the quality of the broadcast signal delivered to subscribers. It is used to monitor both hardware health, such as RF/optical signal levels and likely temperature/power-supply status typical of outdoor optical nodes, and operational configuration of the node, helping operators detect signal degradation before it affects subscriber video/data service. As a cable-industry access device it likely coexists with DOCSIS-related MIBs on the broader HFC network but is itself a Teleste-proprietary management module. It is deployed by cable TV/MSO (multi-system operator) network operators managing fiber-to-the-node infrastructure in outside-plant locations. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the TELESTE-LUMINATO-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELESTE-LUMINATO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teleste Luminato optical node (cable TV/HFC network)

Monitoring Examples

A cable engineer would poll the node's downstream RF-level objects to confirm output power stays within the target range for a given service group, since drift here directly affects subscriber signal quality. Configuration objects covering modulation and downstream performance parameters would be checked after a node truck-roll to confirm settings match the design plan. Because Luminato nodes are outdoor optical-to-RF converters, operators would also expect status objects reflecting the node's internal environmental and power health as part of routine outside-plant monitoring.

What Can Be Monitored

  • RF output power/levels
  • downstream signal performance
  • node configuration parameters
  • optical node operational status
