What Is TELDAT-TRAP-X253-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-X253-MIB is a Teldat vendor MIB defining SNMP trap notifications for the router's X.25 (X253/X.25 version 3) legacy WAN protocol subsystem. It exposes only event data across numbered variants (x2531 through x2533), including logical channel number, port, buffer state, packet Q/M bit flags, and bytes received, with no configuration or steady-state counter tables. It is used to monitor the operational health of X.25 virtual circuits — surfacing buffer congestion, packet flag anomalies, and channel/port identifiers tied to fault events on this legacy packet-switched interface. It depends on Teldat's proprietary X.25 stack and trap framework rather than a shared IETF X.25 MIB standard. It is deployed on Teldat routers still supporting legacy X.25 links, typically in older telecom or industrial WAN environments, monitored via an SNMP trap receiver. Monitoring Examples

x2531-lcn and x2531-port identify the logical channel and port where an event occurred, while x2531-buffer and x2531-bytes-rx report buffer state and traffic volume at the time of the trap, and x2531-bit-q/x2531-bit-m expose the X.25 packet's Q and M bit flags. An operator would watch for repeated buffer-related traps on the same x2531-lcn/x2531-port pair as a sign of congestion or a misbehaving X.25 peer. As a trap-only MIB, there are no counters to poll outside of these event-triggered snapshots.
