Description: Defines Teldat router I101 (IEC-101 SCADA) event trap notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-TRAP-I101-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-I101-MIB is a Teldat proprietary, notification-only SNMP MIB that defines the trap varbinds emitted by the router's I101 (IEC 60870-5-101) event subsystem, relevant when a Teldat router is used as a gateway or protocol converter in a SCADA/utility telemetry deployment. It groups numbered event definitions (i1011 through i1016, under i101EventsGroup/i101Notifications) carrying byte counts, serial address and interface identifiers, cause codes, and message-type values specific to the IEC-101 serial telemetry protocol. Operationally it is a fault/event monitor for the SCADA communication link: it lets a management station learn asynchronously about byte-transfer volume, serial-link cause-of-transmission codes, and message-type events on the IEC-101 channel, which is critical for detecting a stalled or misbehaving RTU/master link in industrial or utility telemetry, where communication-layer faults can directly affect grid or plant monitoring. As with Teldat's other TRAP-* modules it depends on the standard SNMPv2-SMI/SNMPv2-TC notification conventions and Teldat's private enterprise OID tree, layered on top of the IEC 60870-5-101 standard it interoperates with. It is deployed on Teldat routers serving as SCADA/RTU gateways in utility, energy, or industrial-control network deployments, where engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-I101-MIB file to load into their trap receiver or MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-I101-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat router used as SCADA/RTU gateway

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only notification objects and their varbinds rather than a polled counter table, so there is no GET-based monitoring scenario; it is trap-only. An SNMP trap receiver would inspect i1012_serrial_address and i1012_interface together with i1012_bytes_number to see traffic volume on a specific IEC-101 serial link, and i1013_cause on i1013_interface to determine the cause-of-transmission code behind a reported communication fault.
