What Is TELDAT-TRAP-H323-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-H323-MIB is a Teldat (Spanish router/gateway vendor) private MIB dedicated entirely to defining SNMP trap notifications generated by the H.323 VoIP subsystem on Teldat routers. Rather than exposing pollable configuration or statistics tables, it defines a set of distinct event notifications, each carrying context such as an event code, interface, line, mode, or new state associated with an H.323 call-control event. Its monitoring value is entirely fault/event-oriented, letting a management station learn about the software status of the H.323 stack in near real time, such as an interface or line changing state, or an H.323 mode transition occurring, without needing to poll. It depends on the ITU-T H.323 protocol suite conceptually and on Teldat's own router/interface indexing conventions, but has no dependency on other SNMP standard MIBs beyond basic notification infrastructure. It's typically deployed on Teldat routers configured as H.323 VoIP gateways, with the trap destination pointed at a network management station for real-time VoIP subsystem event monitoring. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-H323-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

This is a trap-only/notification MIB with no runtime data tables to poll; instead, a management station receives traps such as h3231-Event (carrying h3231-parameter, h3231-interface, and h3231-line) whenever a generic H.323 event fires, h3232-new-state (with h3232-interface and h3232-line) when an H.323 line or interface changes state, and h3233-Event (with h3233-mode) when an H.323 mode transition occurs. Receiving repeated h3232-new-state traps for the same line would indicate an unstable H.323 VoIP connection or interface flapping.
