Description: Defines Teldat router ACT (action) event trap notifications.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-TRAP-ACT-MIB?
TELDAT-TRAP-ACT-MIB is a Teldat (Spanish router/networking vendor) MIB defining SNMP notifications generated by the router's ACT event subsystem, which reports on cellular/WAN connectivity and system lifecycle events. It exposes trap-carried variable bindings covering system identity (hostname, serial number), connection details (PPP IP address, connection date, cellular IMSI), WLAN station counts, and traffic counters for PPP and WLAN interfaces, plus startup/system event flags. Its monitoring value is fault and status-change detection: it emphasizes system status (act1-startup, act1-system events), software/connection status (PPP connect events, IMSI/cellular registration), and traffic health (act1-ppprx/tx, act1-wlanrx/tx counters) sent as unsolicited traps rather than polled data. It works alongside standard SNMP notification conventions (SNMPv2-TC/NOTIFICATION-TYPE) and Teldat's broader ACT event subsystem MIBs. It is deployed on Teldat routers, particularly cellular/WAN gateway and WLAN access router models, for centralized event/trap monitoring. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-ACT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-ACT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router (cellular/WAN gateway, WLAN access router)
Monitoring Examples
A monitoring station would subscribe to actNotifications traps and inspect varbinds like act1-connectiondate and act1-pppip to confirm when and with what address a router's PPP/cellular WAN link came up, and act1-imsi to identify the SIM used for that session. A trap carrying act1-startup or act1-system would flag that the device rebooted or an internal system fault occurred, prompting investigation. Sudden drops in act1-wlanstations alongside act1-wlanrx/act1-wlantx traffic counters could indicate a WLAN radio outage on that router.
What Can Be Monitored
- PPP/cellular connection events and IP address
- connection date/time
- IMSI/cellular identity
- WLAN station count
- PPP and WLAN traffic counters
- system startup/fault events
