Description: Defines Teldat router ASDP protocol event trap notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-TRAP-ASDP-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-ASDP-MIB is a Teldat (Spanish networking vendor) router MIB dedicated to SNMP trap notifications generated by the ASDP (a Teldat-specific event/data protocol) subsystem, covering up to four ASDP instances. Rather than a general management MIB, it is narrowly focused on fault/event data: each ASDP instance exposes a size, a State, and an associated Interface object, feeding into a notifications group used to alert on ASDP state changes. Its monitoring role is squarely on software/protocol status: watching the per-instance State objects (asdp1-State through asdp4-State) reveals whether an ASDP session on a given interface is up, down, or in an abnormal condition, letting operators detect protocol faults or interface-level ASDP failures via trap-driven alerting rather than polling. It depends on standard SNMP notification infrastructure (SNMPv2-TRAP / SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB conventions) to deliver its asdpNotifications, and likely pairs with other Teldat interface and system MIBs for broader device context. It is deployed on Teldat routers running the ASDP feature in enterprise or telco access-router environments where trap-based event monitoring is used. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-ASDP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-ASDP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat router

Monitoring Examples

A network management station subscribes to asdpNotifications and, on receipt of a trap referencing asdp1-Interface, checks asdp1-State and asdp1-size to determine whether ASDP instance 1 on that interface has failed or is reporting an abnormal data size. Similar traps tied to asdp2-State through asdp4-State let an operator pinpoint which of up to four ASDP instances triggered the event and on which interface, without having to poll all instances continuously.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ASDP instance state (1-4)
  • ASDP instance associated interface
  • ASDP instance size value
  • ASDP event notifications
