Description: Defines Teldat router DEP (deployment) event trap notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-TRAP-DEP-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-DEP-MIB is a Teldat enterprise MIB dedicated entirely to defining SNMP notification (trap) content for the router's 'DEP' event subsystem, which appears related to session/deployment or dial/data-path event processing across multiple numbered sub-modules (dep1 through dep4 and beyond). Each notification carries contextual fields such as IP address, session identifier, state, and message type associated with the triggering event. Its monitoring role is purely fault/event-driven software status: it lets an NMS receive asynchronous alerts about DEP session state changes (e.g., session established, session down, state transitions) rather than exposing pollable counters or hardware sensors. As a notification-only MIB it depends on the general SNMP notification framework (SNMPv2-TM/SNMP-NOTIFICATION-MIB conventions) for trap delivery. It is used in Teldat router deployments where the DEP subsystem manages some form of session/connection tracking that operators want proactively alerted on rather than polled. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the TELDAT-TRAP-DEP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-DEP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

There are no pollable status tables here -- this MIB is fault/event-oriented rather than a source of continuously monitorable objects, so an NMS would configure trap reception for depNotifications rather than polling. When a dep2_state or dep3_state transition occurs, the corresponding trap would deliver dep2_ip_address/dep2_session or dep3_ip_address/dep3_session so the receiving system can correlate the event to a specific session; a burst of session-down traps referencing many different dep*_session values in a short window would indicate a broader connectivity problem rather than an isolated session issue.
