What Is TELDAT-MON-INTERF-CELLULAR-MIB?
TELDAT-MON-INTERF-CELLULAR-MIB is a Teldat enterprise MIB for monitoring cellular WAN interfaces on Teldat routers, covering both static module information and dynamic connection state. It exposes an interface info table with cellular module manufacturer, model, firmware version, IMEI, IMSI, and SIM ID/ICC identifiers, plus a separate state table tracking live cellular connection status, signal quality, and data throughput counters. Its monitoring emphasis is hardware and connectivity status of the embedded cellular modem: administrators can verify the cellular module's firmware version and SIM identity for asset and provisioning audits, and monitor live connection state and signal quality to detect a cellular link that has dropped, degraded, or is roaming unexpectedly, which is critical for routers relying on cellular as a primary or backup WAN link. As a Teldat-specific module it complements standard IF-MIB interface counters for the same cellular interface rather than replacing them. It is deployed on Teldat routers equipped with cellular (3G/4G/5G) WAN modules used for primary rural connectivity or as failover backup links, and administrators can download the TELDAT-MON-INTERF-CELLULAR-MIB file to load into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-INTERF-CELLULAR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router with cellular WAN module
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll teldatCellularInfoInterfaceTable for a given teldatCellularInfoInterfaceIndex to check teldatCellularInfoInterfaceModuleFirmware, teldatCellularInfoInterfaceModuleIMEI, and teldatCellularInfoInterfaceSIMIcc for module and SIM identification. The companion teldatCellularStateInterfaceTable would be polled for live connection and signal-quality data; a degraded signal reading combined with a connection-state change would reveal the cellular backup link is unstable, prompting a check of antenna placement or carrier coverage. teldatCellularStatObject would provide the broader statistics context for throughput on that interface.
What Can Be Monitored
- cellular module firmware version
- IMEI/IMSI/SIM identifiers
- cellular connection state
- signal quality
- data throughput counters
