Category: Teldat Router Management

Description: Monitors Teldat router VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) feature instance status and routing table statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-VRF-MIB?

TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-VRF-MIB is a Teldat-specific monitoring MIB that exposes the operational status of Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) feature instances configured on Teldat routers. It provides data about each configured VRF, including the interfaces bound to it and identifying names/descriptions, letting an operator confirm which interfaces belong to which VRF at runtime. Its monitoring value is centered on configuration/software state verification: confirming a VRF instance exists as expected and that the correct interfaces are associated with it, which helps catch misconfigured routing separation before it causes a connectivity or security incident. As a VRF-focused MIB it depends conceptually on the underlying IF-MIB interface indexing to correlate VRF membership with specific physical or logical interfaces. It is deployed on Teldat routers used in multi-tenant or segmented-routing enterprise and service-provider network deployments. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-VRF-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-VRF-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat router with VRF feature

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll telProdNpMonFeatVrfTable, with entries such as telProdNpMonFeatVrfName, telProdNpMonFeatVrfIfc, and telProdNpMonFeatVrfIfcDesc, to verify that a given VRF has the expected set of interfaces bound to it. If an interface unexpectedly appears in the wrong VRF's telProdNpMonFeatVrfIfc entry, that signals a configuration error that could leak traffic between routing domains. Comparing the table's contents against the intended VRF design is a straightforward way to audit routing separation on the device.
