Description: Defines Teldat router SSL/TLS event trap notifications.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-TRAP-SSL-MIB?
The TELDAT-TRAP-SSL-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP notification module for Teldat routers' SSL/TLS subsystem, defining a small set of traps for SSL/TLS-related events. It exposes little more than free-text string objects describing the event and an additional detail string. Its monitoring purpose is limited but focused on the software status of the router's SSL/TLS handling — surfacing an event description (e.g. a handshake failure or certificate issue) an operator can inspect, though the module is minimal compared to Teldat's other protocol trap MIBs. It likely depends on the router's internal SSL/TLS library implementation rather than any external MIB. It is deployed on Teldat routers that terminate or use SSL/TLS (for example for secure management or VPN services), so administrators are alerted to SSL-layer problems. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-SSL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-SSL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router (SSL/TLS-terminating service)
Monitoring Examples
A trap carrying ssl1-string together with ssl1-add-string delivers a primary event description plus supplementary detail about an SSL/TLS condition, such as a failed handshake or certificate validation error, though the module provides no further structured fields to pinpoint interface or peer.
What Can Be Monitored
- SSL/TLS event description text
- additional SSL/TLS event detail text
