Description: STREAMCORE-SGM-MIB module
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is STREAMCORE-SGM-MIB?
STREAMCORE-SGM-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Streamcore, a network/application performance monitoring appliance maker, that models the SGM component of its platform, exposing a generic internal database table alongside a table of monitored sites/groups identified by ID, name, and IP address. It exposes configuration/inventory-style data - essentially a directory of registered network sites/groups and an internal database structure - rather than raw traffic counters. Its primary monitoring value is software/application-level: verifying that the Streamcore SGM's internal database and site registry are populated and consistent, and that each registered site/group's IP address is reachable and correctly provisioned. It is a self-contained, vendor-proprietary MIB with no notable dependency on other standard MIBs. It is deployed within Streamcore SGM appliances used by enterprises to track site-to-site network and application performance. Engineers can download the STREAMCORE-SGM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in STREAMCORE-SGM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Streamcore SGM network/application performance monitoring appliance
Monitoring Examples
An operator would poll sgTable (indexed by sgId) to enumerate configured sites/groups by sgName and verify each entry's sgIpAddress matches the expected management address, flagging any site whose IP has drifted or become unreachable. The parallel dbTable/dbEntry structure (keyed on dbIndex/dbName) would be checked to confirm the SGM's internal database is intact, since a missing or corrupted entry there typically precedes reporting gaps for the affected site.
What Can Be Monitored
- registered site/group names
- site IP addresses
- site/group identifiers
- internal database table entries
