Category: Microwave Radio - SAF Tehnika, SAF Tehnika Microwave

Description: Manages SAF Tehnika Integra-W microwave radio variant configuration and performance monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SAF-INTEGRAW-MIB?

SAF-INTEGRAW-MIB manages SAF Tehnika's IntegraW point-to-point microwave radio link product, exposing configuration and performance objects for the radio's transmit/receive path. It covers RF configuration (frequency, duplex shift, mute state) and performance data (transmit power, receive signal level, temperature) for each radio side. Its central monitoring value is radio hardware health and link performance: operators track integraWradioTxPower and integraWradioRxLevel to gauge link quality and fade margin, and integraWradioTemperature to watch for thermal issues in outdoor radio units, alongside mute state which indicates whether the transmitter is intentionally silenced. As a vendor-specific radio MIB it has no significant dependency on other standard MIBs beyond basic SNMP. It is deployed in microwave backhaul links for wireless/telecom operators using SAF Tehnika IntegraW radios at both ends of a point-to-point path. Engineers can download the SAF-INTEGRAW-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SAF-INTEGRAW-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • SAF Tehnika IntegraW microwave radio link

Monitoring Examples

Polling integraWradioTxPower and integraWradioRxLevel on both the local and remote integraWradioSide reveals whether a link is degrading (e.g., falling RX level indicating rain fade or antenna misalignment). integraWradioTemperature can be checked to catch an overheating outdoor unit, and integraWradioTxMute/integraWradioTxMuteDuration show whether the transmitter has been muted and for how long, which would explain an unexpected loss of the radio link.

What Can Be Monitored

  • transmit power
  • receive signal level
  • radio temperature
  • transmit mute state/duration
  • duplex shift setting
