Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RIVERSTONE-SNMP-MIB?

RIVERSTONE-SNMP-MIB is a Riverstone Networks, Inc. proprietary MIB adding last-change timestamps to the standard SNMPv3 management MIBs (RFCs 2570-2580) — target address/params, notify, notify-filter-profile, notify-filter, USM user, VACM security-to-group, and VACM access tables each gain a companion last-change object, plus a global SNMPv3 last-change object. As a status MIB it lets an administrator quickly detect when SNMPv3 security/notification configuration last changed on a Riverstone Networks switch/router without polling every row. It is deployed on Riverstone Networks, Inc. switching/routing equipment (SNMPv3 management). Engineers can download the RIVERSTONE-SNMP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RIVERSTONE-SNMP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Riverstone Networks, Inc. switching/routing equipment (SNMPv3 management)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rsSnmpV3LastChange to quickly detect whether SNMPv3 configuration changed recently on a Riverstone Networks device.

What Can Be Monitored
