Description: Riello (RPS S.p.A.) MIB for MDU modular power distribution units, covering identification, I/O configuration, socket counts, and nominal current for Riello MDU devices

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RIELLOMDU-MIB?

RIELLOMDU-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Riello (RPS S.p.A.) for their MDU (Modular Distribution Unit) line of rack-mount power distribution units, part of the data-center power infrastructure technology area. It exposes identification data (manufacturer, model, software version, I/O configuration, number of input/output sockets) and electrical measurements per input line, such as frequency, voltage, and current. This MIB is directly useful for monitoring the hardware status of a PDU: mduIdentSoftwareVersion tracks firmware level, and the mduLineA* objects (frequency, voltage, current) let an operator detect abnormal power conditions such as an overloaded circuit, brownout, or frequency drift before they cause equipment failure. It is a self-contained vendor enterprise MIB with no apparent dependency on other MIB modules beyond standard SNMP framework conventions. It is typically deployed on rack-mounted intelligent PDUs in server rooms and data centers for remote power monitoring. Engineers can download the RIELLOMDU-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RIELLOMDU-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Riello MDU modular power distribution units (PDUs)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll mduLineAVoltage, mduLineACurrent and mduLineAFrequency to track the electrical health of the line feeding a rack, alerting if mduLineACurrent approaches the mduIdentNominalCurrent rating (indicating an overloaded outlet bank) or if mduLineAVoltage drifts outside acceptable limits (indicating an upstream power issue). Checking mduIdentInputSockets and mduIdentOutputSockets against mduIdentIOConfiguration confirms the unit is provisioned as expected for the rack it serves. mduIdentSoftwareVersion would be checked during a fleet-wide firmware audit.

What Can Be Monitored

  • input line voltage
  • input line current
  • input line frequency
  • nominal current/voltage/frequency ratings
