Description: Registers product identity OIDs for the Redline Communications WiMAX product family.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is REDLINE-PRODUCTS-MIB?

REDLINE-PRODUCTS-MIB is a Redline Communications proprietary MIB that simply registers the object identifiers assigned to Redline's various WiMAX hardware platforms (e.g., AN-50, AN-100, WB-1000, WS-35, WS-58), used as sysObjectID values so management systems can identify exactly which Redline product model an SNMP agent is running on. It contains no configuration, performance, or fault objects of its own — it is purely a product-identity registration module. Consequently it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; its only function is enabling a management station to distinguish, via sysObjectID, which specific Redline WiMAX base station or subscriber unit model it is talking to, which then determines which other Redline MIBs apply. It has an implicit dependency relationship with the standard SNMPv2-MIB's sysObjectID object and with other Redline-specific MIBs that provide the actual runtime data for each product. It is used across Redline Communications WiMAX base station and subscriber-unit deployments in fixed-wireless broadband networks, where the REDLINE-PRODUCTS-MIB MIB's sysObjectID values let management systems identify the exact hardware model in use.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in REDLINE-PRODUCTS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Redline Communications WiMAX base stations and subscriber units (AN-50, AN-100, WB-1000, WS-35, WS-58 product lines)
  • Redline Communications wireless broadband radios

Monitoring Examples

This is effectively a product-registration module with no runtime data objects — redlineAN50, redlineWB1000, redlineWS58, redlineWS35, redlineAN100, and redlineAN50PMP are OID assignments returned as a device's sysObjectID rather than pollable status values. An admin would use the returned sysObjectID (e.g., matching redlineAN100) only to identify which Redline WiMAX model is deployed, then consult that model's dedicated MIB for actual monitoring data.
