What Is REDLINE-AN50-PMP-V1-MIB?

REDLINE-AN50-PMP-V1-MIB is a vendor MIB from Redline Communications providing version-1 management objects for the AN50 point-to-multipoint (PMP) WiMAX base station, covering sector and subscriber-unit link control in fixed wireless broadband access networks. It exposes a link table describing each subscriber connection to the base station sector, including link identity, peer MAC address, and configured burst-rate/committed-information-rate parameters. Its data is used to monitor the operational status and configuration of each wireless subscriber link, verifying link presence via peer MAC visibility and bandwidth provisioning (max uplink/downlink burst rates, CIR/PIR), which helps diagnose subscriber connectivity loss or bandwidth misprovisioning on the sector. It is a self-contained Redline enterprise MIB with no strong dependency on external wireless standards MIBs. It is typically deployed by wireless ISPs operating Redline AN50 WiMAX base stations to manage point-to-multipoint subscriber connectivity, and the REDLINE-AN50-PMP-V1-MIB download lets administrators load it directly into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in REDLINE-AN50-PMP-V1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Redline AN50 WiMAX base station (point-to-multipoint)

Monitoring Examples

An operator can poll the an50pmpLinkTable/an50pmpLinkEntry rows, each keyed by an50pmpLinkID, to see the an50pmpLinkPeerMac of every subscriber unit associated with a given an50pmpLinkGroupID (sector). Comparing configured an50pmpLinkMaxDLBurstRate/an50pmpLinkMaxULBurstRate and an50pmpLinkCIDDLCIR/an50pmpLinkCIDDLPIR values against actual observed link behavior confirms bandwidth is provisioned as expected for each subscriber. A subscriber link entry disappearing from the table, or an50pmpLinkMaxHost being exceeded, would indicate a lost connection or an over-subscribed sector.

What Can Be Monitored

  • subscriber link status
  • peer MAC address per link
  • downlink/uplink burst rate provisioning
  • CIR/PIR bandwidth settings
  • hosts per link
