What Is RBN-PVC-CAP?
RBN-PVC-CAP is an Ericsson (formerly Redback, "RBN" prefix) AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting which parts of the RBN-PVC MIB—covering ATM permanent virtual circuit management—are implemented on Ericsson SmartEdge-family platforms. It declares platform- and SEOS-release-dependent support across the SmartEdge Multi-Service Edge Router (MSER), Metro Ethernet Service Transport (SM) family, and Smart Service Router (SSR) family. Being a conformance module, it exposes no hardware/software runtime status data itself; it tells a management system what subset of the RBN-PVC MIB's ATM PVC objects that platform/release supports. It is entirely dependent on the RBN-PVC MIB it declares capabilities for, and indirectly on Ericsson's SEOS software versioning. It is used during NMS onboarding and MIB compliance verification for Ericsson SmartEdge BRAS/edge router deployments, not for routine polling. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the RBN-PVC-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-PVC-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; its only function is to declare which RBN-PVC MIB ATM PVC objects and groups are supported per SEOS software release across the SmartEdge MSER, SM, and SSR product families.
