What Is RBN-IP-SECURITY-CAP?
RBN-IP-SECURITY-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module documenting SNMP agent support for the vendor RBN-IP-SECURITY-MIB, which covers IP security and access-control-list configuration, on Ericsson/RedBack SmartEdge platforms (SE, SM, SSR families). It is a conformance-declaration module, enumerating which groups/objects of the IP security MIB are implemented per Ericsson SEOS software release rather than exposing ACL state or security-policy counters itself. It therefore does not directly monitor hardware or software status; the actual security-policy/ACL monitoring value lives in RBN-IP-SECURITY-MIB, and this module only tells an NMS which parts of that MIB it can trust to poll on a given release. It is fully dependent on, and describes conformance to, RBN-IP-SECURITY-MIB. It is used by MIB tooling and NMS integrators validating IP-security/ACL SNMP support across SmartEdge software releases and product families. Engineers can download the RBN-IP-SECURITY-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-IP-SECURITY-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
