What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IP-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IP-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module describing Ericsson SEOS routers' (SmartEdge/SM/SSR) support for the standard IETF IP-MIB (RFC 4293), which covers IPv4/IPv6 stack statistics such as interface addressing, forwarding, and IP-layer counters. It contains no data objects itself, only declaring which IP-MIB groups and compliances a given platform/software release implements. This indirectly supports software-status monitoring by telling an NMS which standardized IP-layer counters (e.g., datagram counts, address tables) it can safely poll on that Ericsson router version, informing whether IP-stack health and traffic statistics are observable via the standard MIB. It explicitly depends on the IETF IP-MIB (RFC 4293) it documents conformance to. It's used during monitoring-system onboarding of Ericsson routers to determine standard IP-stack monitoring capability per SEOS release. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IP-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
