What Is RBN-CONFIG-FILE-CAP?
RBN-CONFIG-FILE-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting the SNMP agent's support for the Config File MIB on Ericsson SmartEdge (Redback) platforms, which governs management of device configuration files (save/load/backup of running or startup configuration). As a capabilities module it defines no monitorable data objects of its own, only which parts of the companion Config File MIB are implemented for a given SEOS software release. It therefore has no direct hardware/software status role -- no uptime or fault data -- but is consulted by management tools to know what configuration-file management operations are supported. It is explicitly a conformance statement over the separate Config File MIB, which holds the actual configuration-management objects. It is deployed as part of the SNMP agent on Ericsson SmartEdge/SSR platforms wherever remote configuration file management via SNMP is used. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the RBN-CONFIG-FILE-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-CONFIG-FILE-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no runtime data objects (sample_objects is empty); it states which parts of the Config File MIB are supported rather than exposing configuration-file objects itself. There is no monitoring scenario to invent -- actual configuration file save/status data would be polled from the underlying Config File MIB this module declares conformance for.
