What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-CARDMON-CAP?
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module for Ericsson's SmartEdge/SSR router family (SE, SM, SSR product lines running Ericsson SEOS), declaring which objects and features of the vendor's ERICSSON-ROUTER-CARDMON-MIB (line card monitoring/inventory MIB) are actually implemented on a given platform and software release. It does not define new managed objects or data structures itself; rather, it is metadata describing conformance/support levels for the referenced card-monitoring MIB. As a capabilities statement, it indirectly relates to hardware monitoring by describing the extent to which line card inventory and health monitoring objects are supported per platform/release, but exposes no directly pollable runtime data of its own. It explicitly depends on the ERICSSON-ROUTER-CARDMON-MIB, whose objects it describes conformance for. It is used internally by NMS tooling and MIB compilers to determine feature support on Ericsson SmartEdge (SE), Metro Ethernet (SM), and Smart Service Router (SSR) platforms. Monitoring Examples
This module is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES statement rather than a source of runtime data -- it contains no pollable objects or tables of its own. Its purpose is to tell a management application which specific objects and groups of ERICSSON-ROUTER-CARDMON-MIB (e.g., card inventory/status tables) are supported on a given Ericsson SEOS software release, not to expose live line card status directly.
