What Is RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-CAP?
RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting the SNMP agent's implementation of the BGP policy-based accounting MIB (RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB) on Ericsson SmartEdge (Redback) platforms. Being a capabilities module, it defines no monitorable objects of its own; it exists purely to state which groups/objects of the companion accounting MIB are supported for a specific SEOS software release. It therefore plays no direct role in reporting device hardware or software operational status such as uptime or CPU load -- its function is purely conformance declaration used by management tools to know what BGP traffic-accounting data can actually be retrieved. It explicitly references and depends on the separate RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB, which is where the real accounting counters live. It is deployed as part of the Ericsson SmartEdge/SSR SNMP agent wherever BGP-based traffic accounting is configured. Engineers can download the RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no runtime data objects (sample_objects is empty); it states which parts of RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB are supported rather than exposing pollable counters itself. There is no monitoring scenario to invent here -- the actual BGP accounting data would be polled from RBN-BGP-ACCOUNTING-MIB, not this capabilities module.
