What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-ISSU-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-ISSU-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module documenting support for In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) functionality on Ericsson SmartEdge/SM/SSR router platforms for a given SEOS software release. It defines no runtime data itself, only declaring which ISSU-related object groups and compliance statements the agent implements. Indirectly, it supports software-status monitoring by telling an NMS whether ISSU state/progress objects (in the corresponding ISSU MIB) can be relied upon to track an in-progress software upgrade without a service outage, which is valuable for coordinating maintenance windows. Its dependency is on the underlying Ericsson ISSU MIB whose conformance it describes. It is consulted, as an ERICSSON-ROUTER-ISSU-CAP reference, by provisioning/monitoring systems ahead of a planned ISSU procedure to confirm the feature and its monitorable objects are supported on that router's software version.
