Description:

A PLSB ISIS trap signifies that multiple ISIS adjacencies are formed with the same ISIS node.

What is rcnIsisPlsbMultiLinkAdjTrap?

This trap notification fires when the ISIS routing protocol detects that multiple adjacencies (neighbor relationships) have formed with the same neighbor node. This unusual condition indicates a network topology problem, possibly duplicate links or misconfigured connections. Network operators investigate this trap to resolve routing anomalies and ensure the network topology is correct.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAPID-CITY::rcnIsisPlsbMultiLinkAdjTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.21.0.284

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
