rcSysAccessPolicyAccessStrict

Module: RAPID-CITY

OID (symbolic): RAPID-CITY::rcSysAccessPolicyAccessStrict

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.1.61.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Used to restrict the access level specified in the system access policy table to exactly the same access level as specified by user. If TRUE then only the access level in the policy table is allowed access. If FALSE, then the default behavior is to assume the access level specified in policy table as the floor.

What is rcSysAccessPolicyAccessStrict?

When set to true, this object enforces that users have access only to the exact level specified in the system access policy table, with no implicit elevation to higher privilege levels. When false, the policy table specifies a minimum access level (floor) and users may obtain higher access. Network administrators configure this parameter to choose between strict role-based access control or flexible privilege escalation for administrative access.
