This object provides a control mechanism to convert dynamically auto-learned MAC address entries into manually configured static entries in the MAC filtering table. Auto-learning discovers MAC addresses by observing traffic, while manual entries provide permanent, explicit configuration. Operators use this to promote important dynamically-discovered MAC addresses to permanent static entries when they need guaranteed forwarding behavior or to lock in security policies.
