Description:
The type of TEI (Terminal Endpoint Identifier) used for this Terminal Endpoint. In case of dynamic(1), the TEI value is selected by the switch. In case of static(2), a valid TEI value has to be entered in the isdnEndpointTeiValue object. interface type as well as the Terminal Endpoint type. static(2). On Basic Rate interfaces the default value is dynamic(1) for isdn(63) Terminal Endpoints. It corresponds to isdnEndpointTeiType in the isdn MIB.
What is prtIsdnEndpointTeiType?
This object specifies the Terminal Endpoint Identifier (TEI) assignment method for an ISDN terminal endpoint, either dynamic (assigned by the switch) or static (manually configured). An operator would select the TEI type based on the deployment scenario: dynamic for automatic assignment in standard scenarios, static for fixed identifiers in managed networks. The choice affects how the endpoint negotiates with the ISDN switch during initialization.
