Description:
The source of Transmit Clock. 'loopTiming' indicates that the recovered receive clock is used as the transmit clock.
'localTiming' indicates that a local clock source is used or when an external clock is attached to the box containing the interface.
'throughTiming' indicates that recovered receive clock from another interface is used as the transmit clock.
'adaptive' indicates that the clock is recovered according to the received data flow rate.
'system' indicates that the system clock is used as the transmit clock.
What is dsx1TxClockSource?
This OID stores which clock source the DS1 interface uses for transmission: recovered from incoming signal, local oscillator, another interface, or adaptive synchronization. Clock source selection affects timing accuracy and network synchronization. A network operator selects the appropriate source to match circuit redundancy and timing requirements for T1 or E1 line aggregation.
